What is the attire for the Sangeet?
Get ready to celebrate in style! We encourage colorful, festive attire. Traditional Indian or Pakistani outfits are highly recommended, such as lehengas, sarees, or anarkalis for women, and kurtas or sherwanis for men. If not traditional, feel free to embrace bright colors and bold patterns to match the joyful spirit of the evening.
What is the Attire for the Nikkah?
Daytime formal attire. Traditional South Asian or Islamic outfits are welcome. Women may wear sarees, salwar kameez, or modest gowns, while men can wear sherwanis, kurtas, or suits. Neutral or pastel colors are suggested.
What is the attire for the Reception?
Join us for an elegant evening! The dress code for the reception is formal. Ladies, we recommend dresses or traditional South Asian, while men can wear suits or traditional South Asian. Feel free to add a touch of glamour to celebrate the night in style!
Do you have a registry?
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift of all! However, should you choose to honor us with a gift, a contribution to our Newlywed Fund would be much appreciated.
What will the weather be like?
Houston's weather in early December is usually mild but can be unpredictable. Daytime temperatures typically range from 60-70°F (15-24°C), while evenings can be cooler, around 45-55°F (7-13°C). Check the forecast closer to the date for more accurate information.
Do we need a rental car or can we Uber?
We recommend renting a car, as the venues are spread out and a rental car will also give you flexibility, especially for any plans on Friday (the gap day). However, Uber is a convenient option if you prefer not to drive.
What are the parking options at the venues?
For the Sangeet and Nikkah, free, on-site parking will be available. For the Reception at The St. Regis Houston, valet parking is available for $25, and there may also be parking lots or street parking within a 10-15 minute walk. If you're staying nearby, consider using Uber for convenience.
